Welcome to Chessie Pride. We’re a shop and space for Chesapeake Bay Retriever fans, by Chesapeake Bay Retriever fans. If you’ve spent time with a Chessie, you probably know what we mean—they’re equal parts goofy and serious, stubborn and sweet, and always up for an adventure.

We wanted to make something a little different from your usual dog merch. Chessies aren’t just Labs with curly coats, and they’re definitely more than hunting dogs. They’re loyal, full of personality, and quick to win your heart.

We get that Chessie people are a special bunch. Maybe your dog is out in the field, on the trail, or just curled up at your feet—either way, it’s clear that life with a Chessie is about more than just having a pet.

More Than Gear

We also hope this space helps educate and celebrate. Not everyone knows the Chessie is America’s only native retriever. Or that it was bred to handle the cold, the waves, and the work. Behind those amber eyes is a dog with more personality than most rooms can hold.

We want to change that, and we want to do it in a way that makes owners smile and feel proud to be part of the club.
